If you and your friends are close to the same size, maybe you could try making casts then? Some one correct me if I'm wrong, but I always get the impression that that takes a lot less time than pepping a new suit all together. Also, weird: I live in California AND my birthday is July 22 :p hahaha. Good Luck on the build!

Weird?, to me thats pretty awesome dude.

ImaGonnaGetYou said:
Indeed it does, it only takes a few days to get all of the casts you need, counting the waiting times for curing for each. Problem is it's super expensive and for a full ODST suit would cost in the thousands.

Really, thanks for telling me, i was about to go in that direction.

That suit is looking awesome!!

If it took you 2-3 months just for one ODST, then I don't think you guys will make it for july.

I suggest speeding it up a bit so you guys can reach your deadline.

I suggest you do this.

You give yourselves one week to finnish a certain part for all of your suits. So if you guys agree on chest plates, then that would mean that you guys have 1 week to finnish all three chest plates.

I really want to see this done guys.

P.S. I'm also from California!!!

once they have the first ODST suit they can probably mold and cast some of the pieces without having to resize them, then all they have to do is build the marine and mold that too!

wow really nice armor. i was hoping to have one complete by comic-con also, but 4-day passes are already sold out. its insane nowadays :(

If you all have similar sized armor, theres vacuum forming! only costs 25 bucks and you could makes visors. Well only 25 if you have the right tools. and in pic two with guy in armor, Do i see a sniper rifle in the backgound?

Lol Yes that is a Sniper Rifle in the background, and not from what I believe that we're doing is that we are each pepping our own suits. (Which is probably longer, but it is the cheapest way I believe.)

Hey I'm BACK!! And I'm still trying to get my goal done

Heres a big update of my armor progress

[attachment=14360:Image037.jpg]

ODST Shin didn't want to Bondo it since I'm running out of time so I just went with it and painted it (this is an old Pic, but I did add some more weathering to it)

[attachment=14361:Image038.jpg]

The Toe and Crouch Plate are both finished

[attachment=14362:Image040.jpg]

[attachment=14364:Image043.jpg]

Again an old pic(I'll try to get new ones later, but I'm now finished with both knees)

[attachment=14363:Image041.jpg]

The right ab plate and another toe plate both finished

I know it ain't much but I've been trying to keep up with my deadline so I already pepped a H3 Marine suit

Sorry for the double post I thought I wouldn't have enough room for the pics but heres the pepped marine suit

[attachment=14365:Image030.jpg]

LOL Sorry just had to do that

[attachment=14366:Image042.jpg]

[attachment=14367:Image068.jpg]

[attachment=14368:Image070.jpg]

elbows and shoulder pieces

[attachment=14369:Image075.jpg]

[attachment=14370:Image095.jpg]

I decided to see if the pieces would fit my leg so I just put it on(sorry for the bad quality)

ALSO another thing I HAD to do was make my lil cousin a Christmas gift (and given the fact he LOVES Iron man and War Machine I decided to make him the helmet)

I finished this helmet just b4 Christmas but I didn't have time to Bondo it which kinda sucks but he still loved it

[attachment=14371:Image051.jpg]

LOL sorry again just had to do it

[attachment=14372:Image054.jpg]

[attachment=14373:Image059.jpg]

[attachment=14374:Image061.jpg]

[attachment=14375:Image064.jpg]

Finished piece (I used a green sun visor I got from last year's Comic Con for the eyes)

I'm Back Once again with some more pics and even more progress then before

so here it is

I half bondoed the chest plate(idk why probably got lazy.)

[attachment=14447:Image018.jpg]

Then I painted it made my own Stencil and put that on there

Then my Grandpa's stupid dog barged in through the barrier I had built and bit off a chunck of the Butt plate off, but I think its still useful

[attachment=14446:Image017.jpg]

[attachment=14448:Image020.jpg]

(just a pic of the shoulder with the UNSC Logo on it)

Then I started on the Strapping V.1 Design

[attachment=14449:Image021.jpg]

[attachment=14450:Image022.jpg]

I ended up i not liking my first design so

I fixed it up and heres on V.2 Design I did

[attachment=14451:Image023.jpg]

[attachment=14452:Image024.jpg]

Lol I called over my neighbor to wear the suit while I worked on it

[attachment=14453:Image031.jpg]

Last but not least I started BONDoing the pieces I had done for MY Marine SUIT!!!

Dang bro those suits are looking good!

As for comic con, my friend may be able to get me in and if he can, then I'll wear my MKVI with you guys. I'm planning to finnally put lights in it and build an AR. We'll see how it comes out.

nice job, i love the way your making multiple pieces (with help, i suppose) at a somewhat fast rate.

YEah it's a Team effort so things are moving along quickly, and we may catch up to our normal quota

I used Industrial strength Velcro (which is unbelieveable strong)

and I just buckles and straps

I also used gorilla glue and its really strong as well

Heres somewhat I did

Alex spartan177 said:
Dude that what brand and color did you use for the paint???

I used Krylon Spray Paint, Colors were Satin Black and Gloss Grey, Primer was grey, Used a flat white for the stencils, and a brillant silver for drybrushing to make it weathered

Kinda funny. My main armor color will be a gloss smoke gray, the black matches too. I am using brown for my detailing stripes though.
