Ok guys. I'm soooo happy two snow days in a row now this is sick. Now, btw I finished the pep last night. I didn't put in the support braces be cause I don't really see the point when I made mine out of card stock. Also, I didn't add little details on yet (the unlabeled custom shapes). Furthermore, there a bits of hot glue strings that need ripping and such. I'm going to edit my reply with pics in like 10 seconds or more.

Impressive work.

I would, however, advise WITH the support struts, just to make sure. Some pieces are highly susceptible to sagging under the stress of the resin process, so perhaps the 'hollow' parts such as the visor peak would be better off supported or even filled (for example, Weyland Industries fills all 'hollow' parts with self-expanding foam to give it a rigid form).

No no no, I was joking :) You just had the little teensy paper head in there. Most of the newbies forget to scale their helmet on their first try, so I was just teasing ;D

Sorry, if it ends in "!!1111!BBQ", understand that I am only kidding hehe. I play too many MMO's ><

Put the supports on or else something very bad happens to helmets that dont get support :( They lean over and warp when resining. Unless of course you want to try the frost hot glue method method. :rolleyes

Hey, anyone know how Adam painted his green armor? I'm trying to discover it. I saw his tut on youtube. but it's not clear so I can't read what he did at the end. First he put black primer, then he put satin finish, then he put small amounts of black primer and rubbed it around with a headband, then he painted on some unknown liquid.

Pepakura forums > stickies > TUTORIAL: The totally offical frost hot glue method method.

Yea I purposely misspelled "Official" in the tutorial xD

AS promised!!! Little Smiley Man in his very own car stock halo helm. I think we have a new candidate for best helmet ever!!! :p Anyway sorry I took forever to get it up, but I had to shovel my neighbor's and my driveway. The helmet took like 1 min and 48 seconds...

I have been watching this lil smiley story unfold, just to let you know it cracks me up. I'm sure the guys at the office are wondering why I'm cracking up.

Hey guys my chicken strips are done so I'm gonna grab lunch. Also, I'm starting to add on the details and, sadly, the supports as well :( Also, I'm trying to buy these fog free visors... Finally, I'm going to eat my lunch.

OK EVERYONE! I JUST ADDED ALL THE SUPPORT STRUTS!!! I DON'T THINK PICTURES ARE NECESARY BUT I'LL PUT THEM UP IF U WANT!!! Anyway, I added the suuport struts and the paper visor, but I did them really quick and badly because they aren't permanent. I'm going to buy gold mirror scorpion exo fog free face shields (2) for the visor, but does anyone know how easily they fit things, like do they bend to fit what you want? Annyway if they do, I'm going to buy the respirator and thefiberglass resin this weekend befor ethe visors arrive.
