Pepping with Fabri-tac

What's happening 405th? I just wanted to show you my secret weapon for near perfect peps. This is Fabri-tac. It is a glue intended for fabric, I guess, and will improve your pep work by 100%. You can get it at any Wal-mart or Hobby Lobby. It will keep your peps together firmly, dry in about 20 seconds, and if you put the piece on crooked or made any error, then you can separate the pieces by easily cutting between the two pieces of paper with a knife (sometimes even pulling them apart will do). Here is a picture of the product:

If you get this on your hands, just knead your fingers together and it will ball up into a little ball of glue that is squishy as putty. The ONLY bad thing that I found about this glue is the price. For a bottle of this stuff, it is about $6.50 (at wal-mart).just in one bottle, I have pepped three helmets, a forearm, a bicep, a handplate, an emile knife, and about four projects that I didn't finish or sized too small. After all that pep work I still have about 1/4th bottle left. Seriousely guys this stuff is AMAZING! It is well worth the money and will bring you fantastic looking armor. EVERYBODY should go get some:)

man you americans get everything so cheap like a dremmel here in australia $120 with like 5 bits and acitone $10 for like 500ml a respirator filter $8ea respirator with mask about $50 really expensive compared to america :p

I'll definitely give it a try! The glue I use gets pretty annoying. It's in a - oh I don't know what to call it - but it's in a metal type tube, so once you get glue out, it HAS to come out, but it's pretty nice. Problem is, I end up wasting more glue than anything. I'll definitely go pick up a bottle of Fabri-Tac today!

I promise you will not be disappointed. It's like it was made for pepakura:) But tell me how you like it. I need to make believers out of these people!

If it comes apart so easily, does that become a problem when applying resin?

It only comes apart if you want it to. I have ripped many pieces trying to get them apart after gluing, but it is easier to separate the pieces with fabri-tac than it is with white glue, super/gorilla glue, or hot glue.

It's an interesting method. I might just look into this when doing my weapons. Thanks a lot. ^^

Thanks for the heads up! I feel like hot-glue is an almost ideal adhesvie for Pepping with it's fast cure time and strong hold. However, I feel it's main disadvantage is it's tendancy to be thick, even if you put as little as possible on tabs! This sounds like it doesn't have that problem, I just might try it out. :)

No way! Fabri-tac is very flat. It can be thick if you apply lots though.
