That is awsome man! I just cannot bring myself to do it since I just did one. Every time I make something one of the guys is busting out a high res pep model
question:
how did you attach the "abs" peice? i'm making the same torso right now (i just have the finish the middle back detail) but the way you added the "abs" section looks really good. i'm not sure if i want to do what you did and put it on there or leave it off and add it later (after glass) so it can be separate (like MC so it can move around).
the only way i could think of what you did was to take the flaps and just glue them up.

i was guna ask how you attached the abs peice but its already been done.
Hey thanks for all the compliments. Im working on FS new helm right now. I have the jaw piece done and the left side on the top 1/2 done. Im making it all in seperate pieces then im gonna attach them all. I had a pic that reminded me of something but for some reason it doesnt want to load on my computer so ill just try again later.
Awesome job on the torso! Hope the helmet comes out great too. I tried that method (making separate sections and attaching them) on my helmet and it turned out to be a pain attaching them for me. The sections were too big to maneuver. Maybe I'm just uncoordinated... Oh well, it came out good in the end.
you may have had a different unfolded version than I do. The one I had will be pretty easy. And I got that pic to upload. Does anyone else see any resemblance?

Well I just finished assembling my new FS helm. Sorry it took so long. It had to be just right plus I had to write a speech for my Human Communcations class so thats been taking up alot of my time. Anyway. Ill be adding the details soon. I just need to thing about what im going to use for them without going to walmart. How do you guys think it fits. I think its perfect . Its a little smaller than my last helm. Also does any one have any idea on how I can attach the open face pieces like the indented/raised area (its still debatable what it is) and the visor?
PS. I know the area above the visor looks warped but its just because there is nothing there to hold it straight.
For the little patterns you cut out which are raised pieces on the helmet, I used craft foam, those small multi colored sheets of thin foam, they work great with hot glue and provide a nice thickness.

Yea I thought about that. I was gonna use posterboard like last time but im out and I was hoping not to go to the store but I might have to. Hows your armor coming by the way? Last I heard you were in the same spot with your torso.

If I may, please... what was the scaling on that chestpiece?
Well looks like im playing the waiting game now. Time to wait and see what new high def piece comes out next. I still have to do the boots but im gonna wait till last to do those. Anyway the helmet is 100% assembled. I finished the details tonight. I used about 1/8'' cardboard. I also did alittle custom work around the neck area (cutting the whole piece into 5 separate pieces) and in the visor area ( I added a rim around the detail so it will look indented). What do you guys think?
