But what's the fun if it's not challenging? lol

Don't worry I am going to try to come out with 2 versions. One with all the details, and one without.

Excellent, I'm sure that will assist many. Personally I normally use a thicker cardstock, so some of the really small details are difficult.

Guys, lay off him! Unless you're commissioning him for this project, you have no right to apply pressure by continually asking him about his work progress. He'll give us an update when he's ready and not before.

Sorry guys for not having any updates but school started tuesday and I've been busy. Luckily though two of my four classes I get to use a computer so I can still work on it every now and then. I have made a good bit of progress though, but I can't post it now because im on my phone. I can't post pics now but I might be able to at my lunch or 4th block. By the way thanks ral for sticking up for me, and don't worry everyone I know how bad you want this so I will get it done as quick as possible.

p.s.

Sorry if any of the wording looks weird because like I said im on my phone at school.

I finally have an update for everyone so eager to see this finished. I have been steadily working on it still even though I already started school. I have gotten quite a bit more done since the last update so I think you'll like the progress I made.

Anyways here are the updated pics...

Hey man, that looks great! Im planning on building it the moment it is released. Quick question to the community though, has anyone thought about how you are going to do the eye pieces? What i mean is what material your going to use for the glass portion and how you your going to achieve the "blue glow" without damaging your eyes. Any suggestions will be welcomed. Thanx in advance.

The blue glow will be difficult, but for the eyes in general, I'm sure you can just pop in a pair of reflective blue sunglasses.

I guess the only way I can see it made is to put EL Wire around the edges, then hope the reflective material on the shades with reflect enough light to give it the effect. But I don't think it would reflect enough light for a good effect .

EL wire seems like it may work, but i've never worked with it and unfortunately for me im stationed out here in Okinawa so finding the proper supplies has been a daunting task. It took me like 4 months to just find resin and i still can't find bondo or any auto repair putty.

I think the trick is going to be finding a solution that gives it a dark daytime look, but at the same time is transparent enough so that if you light up the inside of the helmet with multiple LEDs(probably towards the back and top of the helmet as to not destroy your vision).

The eye glow is easy, just do what all the Jin Roh/Deep Eyes/C-3PO-Other protocol droids do. You ring the eye opening with like 3 or so LEDs that face outward, right up against the lens almost. This way they aren't shining in your eye, rather in the same direction as it, and in most cases almost a bit in front of your eyes, so it doesn't really even bother you. Tint the lens the same color as your light, in this case blue, and it will glow and your eyes won't be visible.

Great idea Cadet! I did a little research on how to its exactly done and came up with this diagram from TK 409's web site. I hope it helps others who are planning this build.
