Okay, so I know I SAID I'd give it a few months,
And maybe I should have.
but then again, this could turn out okay, and besides, I've already started.
MOVING ON!
This time, I decided to try something radical, never before tried! (by me)
So, I got a two blocks of wood, and I cut, (using a thicknesser), each to be exactly half the width of the (scaled down) M6D (at its widest point).
I used a small(ish) hand router to cut out the hole for the clip.
I traced the sillouette of the M6D onto each piece; and cut it out with a scroll saw.
And so began a tedious two days of carving (using both many various sized chisels, and a rotary tool with both small and large sanding bits) the basic shape of the scope cover, and the rear sights,
By that I mean carving the REST of the pistol away, because these bits are already the right width!
Then I smoothed off the scope cover somewhat,
I'm adding detail to the barrel today,
Maybe adding a trigger today, do you thing I should add a working trigger?(like, springy) If so, any ideas?
Pictures are HERE
