Raiden From Metal Gears Rising Vengeance

Hey everyone, I'm making this Raiden build mainly out of foam which as proven interesting since it my first time working with the foam. I've also used my 3D printer to make some of the more complicated parts such as the face and chest. This is a little something I've been working on over the summer and hope to complete before the end of the year.


Firstly I started by gathering all the materials I need.

Next I started cutting and gluing the foam pieces together.

I didn't have many pics of the gluing...
SOOOO moving on to the cocking

Next i put a layer of plasti dip over the armor to seal it.

Next I spray painted the armor and added detailing.

That's all I've made so far for the foam stuff, so now to to 3D printed stuff.

I can feel... THE MEMES!! Looks like it's coming along nicely. Be sure to put some padding on the 3D printed parts for the face. I used to do a Dr. Doom mask that was 3D printed without padding, and would end up with a cut nose or roughed up cheeks by the end of the day.
