Reach Spartan+SRS99AM Rifle Build

Hello!

After a long absence decided to reactivate this project and pull parts out of storage

The main idea is a Halo Reach Spartan, fully 3d printed Armor, with rubber undersuit down the line (or fabric covered foam)

Inital test scaling
Looks messy atm especially with the flexible parts as ArmorSmith is not 100 percent accurate for body form

Little bit of a more interesting situation, I wanted more space within the Hardcase.
So we took a chunk out of the thigh, which will be covered and lined later on after painting.
Will need to repair one of the magnet slots as the printer did an oopsie there.

That's actually a brilliant idea, just make sure that inner section is sealed well so nothing falls through the back

That's the plan. Making a custom plate for the inside and lining the entire thing with foam or felt

Appreciated! Yeh some of the scaling is giving me a headache as I'm an odd shaped human very long legs and arms chonky torso...

And some of the undersuit will be molded and cast so that's a whole other thing I need to scale and account for

Did 5 ish hours of sanding today... I should have sanded the pieces of the helmet before assembly, it's very unwieldy

Another few hours of sanding today.. it's roasting outside so had to cut it shorter

These pieces should be good for wetsanding to get rid of the last few major spots. Gonna leave some of the textures and dents alone for a more lived in feel.

Taking it a little slower this week (my wrist does not agree with non stop sanding) :'D

Printed some of the undersuit parts I plan to mold and cast

Not much today, assembled the knee sleeves and tested the inner torso for size. Looks fine so far.
