Red vs Blue's Freckles the Rifle. seeking advice

So I am beginning my first armor builds. I am making Agent Washington (Recovery 1 era) and Caboose from Red vs Blue. My son would like Freckles the Rifle so I am trying to see if anyone has any clever ideas to make it make party sounds and shoot confetti. I have been figuring some sort of kids toy leaf blower/bug catcher with a modded birthday blower on it. confetti would have to be loaded after each firing but so far it's sounds like a likely build? any other ideas?

That depends on where you want to use the Assault Rifle. In and around your own home for fun, sure. However, If you have any plans on taking the costumes to any convention, then real firing confetti, even with just a fan blowing it, is right out. Conventions almost universally ban any "working" projectile, even nerf darts, so I don't think they would approve of blowing confetti on people. Most cons even ban those simple "Air cannons." And that is just on "Working" projectile front. The potential mess of spraying confetti would also not be appreciated, and would most likely get you escorted off premises and your badge revoked.

For my Caboose I used simple multicolored ribbons, curled and attached to the front of the rifle.


It's static, but in people's pictures that doesn't matter and emulates the effect decently.

IF you want to make home use device . a easy way would be to hack a nerf blaster with way to trigger party poppers. the string goes to the trigger and a volla .

the ribbon idea is perfect! I can build the popper idea for photoshoot purposes later,

for sound i would say a hollow casted AR and you can hide an MP3 player in it and can have a button for it to play when you want it to, as far as confetti for con safe ideas use the streamers, i think if you used the poppers you might get in trouble at cons. i would build the nerf AR for personal things like photoshoots or videos
