YES! I will be getting something like this. I have just tried both arms together and I don't think I could last a day!
I will try the chest and helmet together tomorow. I'm almost ready to paint it in PVA glue so happy with the progress. My feet have not been finished yet....
All in all things are looking good! I believe things will start to move very quickly soon!
It's good to see the progress continuing!
I didn't mention this earlier, but I think it is really awesome that you are making a Robocop. I think I still have my 12" figure that had a compartment in his thigh that would open up and he had storage for his pistol. (Maybe it was 8", I can't remember...)
Good to hear that you have plans to NOT choke yourself out haha.
Some people suggest that it is better to have a separate belt to attach everything to for your lower half so that your shoulders do not need to support everything. I say test a few things out and wear them around the house for several hours at a time to see how comfortable or uncomfortable you will be when you are out in public in a place that may not have a place to sit or whatever. If you decide you don't like something, it is a lot easier to fix it if you give yourself time before a convention rather than trying to fix something at a convention.
Also, when you mention the PVA, are you planning on going with the polyurethane method?
I can't wait to see some pics with you wearing everything you've made so far!
So its finally time to wear it and feel whats right and whats wrong!

It feels great except for my knees, I have to shorten the joints that hold the thigh and shin together.
Now. The opening thigh. Yes I have began to work on it, no I will not be using it. After wearing for 20 mins last night I have decided that even if i complete the thigh, I will not be able to open and use it. I can not see much in this. And the gloves do not help. Auto 9 in my hand all day by the look of it!

Going to start on the details next. Grills and groves. Also must finish my feet/boots. I will also be giving it 5 layers of PVA glue to smoothen him out before he heads to the car spray shop to get his color added.
So my neck flange arrived! This will go between my helmet and chest.... its going to get hot in here! But it will cover up any straps holding me together
I have painted my undersuit foam with a elastomeric rubber paint. Its the stuff you put on the roof of your house. Not to sure how its going to work, but from what I can see so far it's doing the job!

I have now also started adding the small details to the rest of the shell. And I hope to start adding all the groves and grills soon. As you can see her (Below) The helmet disks are going/are now in.

I to have been working on my preformace that I will be entering into the London Comic-Con. I have posted a video update. If you have ever entered a cosplay competition please give me so advice or feel free to tell me what I'm doing right!
Started making my Auto 9 gun. Its 10 inchs long (A bit smaller than the movie gun) I will sand it tonight and add artwork to it too. I added some weights into it to give it some weight. I will need to be able to spin it on my finger for my performance at the Con.

Wow. A very wonderful and detailed build. I just found this, and am just.. wow.
I have just seen the remake of Robocop, and that looks intersting as well.
Here si to hoping you have a great time at your first CON.

Thanks! Its been a fun build! I dont think I will make a 2014 RoboCop but it would be great to see someones build!
I hope you stick around to see my finished product!
Adding my undercoats and starting on the details. I'm happy to say that Robocop should be read for his trip the the auto-shop for his spray job SOON!!!! Anyway, here are some pictures of my progress!
The day has come and RainbowCop has now left this world! I have finally added the 1st layer of his undercoat. I still need to make his toes and leg pistons.
I will add his visor after his spray job. Hopefully he will be up and running in 3 weeks!
I hope you have enjoyed this build, I have been challenge and on multiple time had the feeling it was never going to be finished, but having him one colour really helps me know he will be at the October Comic-Con 2014!
