Since nobody really cares about the thigh plate I'll post a closer look at the brute shot

One layer done on this side

Second layer on the opposite side, not sanded

Got bored so I decided to build a side arm.

Now my problem is it looks big. I didn't mess with the scale but for a pistol it is huge...

Don't know if it helps but my SOCOM model is about 380mm (15 in) long, though I can't remember how I came up with that. The standard M6C is supposed to be 228.6mm (9 in) and 267mm (10.5 in) for the "up-sized" so I'd guess maybe 120-150mm for the suppressor

Holly cow! This looks great! I really like the weathering effects you put onto your armour. It really looks like its been through hell and back... With the exeption of plasma burns and such...

The only thing I can say for improvement is you should... Uhh... Wow, there is nothing to improve, other then finishing the suit, so hurry up!!! Or, better yet, take your time. It will make the suit look even better.

Good luck with the road ahead. I'll be watching this...

So I had some time away from work and finals are over so I celebrated by doing some resining on my armor I had sitting around.

I also put together a few of the ODST armor plates because I decided to run the two projects together to give me options.

Haven't worked on my own stuff too much lately because I needed to finish something before Christmas. We be getting closer.

You've got some really great looking pieces here, Rock. I was a bit sketchy on the brightness of your chosen colors, but the weathering countered it stylishly! It looks like that gear has been through the ringer. How did you manage the weathering effect? It's something I've been mulling over for my own project, and I'd appreciate some poinhters. :)

Also, very nice Mandalorian helmet you have going there!

The weathering is the same method that is in the tutorial. I am using standard paint rather than primer for the black wash and my paint is gloss so it is a bit stickier so it holds the black more than a flat or satin finish.

No pics yet, but I just want to say that I cannot believe I didn't try Rondo sooner. I used it on my rogue and ODST helmet and it has to be the most wonderful thing ever
