It was never really an official announcment until now, but I am currently making 4 sets of H3 marine armor. Hopefully it will be done by Comic con in July. More pics to come soon, within the week? ( I'm recovering from being knocked out with a 102 temp as of lastnight. ) Thanks everyone.

Looks like you are off to a running start. Next stop 'mouse sander'!! Did you scratch build those helmets on your own or did you get a pepakura file from some where?

[attachment=3631:side_H3_marine.JPG]I should have credited NZ-TK for his ODST PEP file, I modified it and now Bondoed it. Thanks.

Well done, how did you do that to it?

Little tip, you shouldn't glob bondo on your helmet. Work in little spots with thin layers of bondo. (I have like 25 layers on mine) Way easier to sand that way.

My appologies! You're right I haven't been all there the last few days because
I've been very sick. I "RE-re credit" this as supertaco's design. :) As for everyone else:
I trimmed the mouth guard off and placed a large piece of proportionatly correct cardboard
ontop. Then glassed the inside, then bondoed, and now I'm ready to sand.
Thanks to all of you for your support and again my appologies super taco.

cheers! updates soon, (like maybe tomorrow or even today)

I'm feeling a whole lot better. I'm on the rebound but after
jumping into things after recovery sent me into the hospital with
the pneumonia back in January, I'm not too keen to start working
with Bondo and resins just yet. So I figure be productive but take
things easy for right now. I went out and got one of these bad boys:

"3 extra pieces of sandpaper included!" (y)
I think I'll do a little sanding today on the helmets and possibly
mark out the battle rifles in the wood this afternoon. I have the pins
ready for the boots so I might go ahead and do that as well.

on the road to recovery. . . then maybe Voi ;) Roodkill-

Alright new update and here's how things are:
Just got over being sick, still no voice back, but hey I don't need to talk to work.

Instead of working on the BR through a PEP to save on materials,
I went ahead and made mine out of wood.
So here's a few pictures of progress of both the helmets, the BR, and begining of the pieces.

Progress so far. . .

As always tell me what needs to be improved! Thanks I'll post an update soon because we have a work day this upcoming Sunday.

Not to double post, BUT, I'm wondering how I'd go
about the chest pieces. Seeing how there's no form
of PEP files for this, I'm wondering would one or two
layers of cardboard be enough?

Garland Made a Beta file for the chest that would be your best bet. he also has shoulders. Helmets looking good and the BR is Awesome. Keep Working! :D
