Alright you guys, since my amazing brain dead self has left my cardstock back in my dorm, I am left to ponder all of the extra little detail that I will eventually have to get to. I figure nows a better time than any to ask certain questions, so I can get certain shopping done. I've been searching and searching the topics about how people are creating their visors, however i might need alittle advice still on how to do mine. Like where i could even get a visor that color of green? Or if it would look better mirror-like on the outside or if Being able to see through like in the pic is okay?

The easiest option would probably be to cut up a green Sprite bottle and glue it in. You'd be able to see through it from both sides, but that's how it should be.

For the visor there are green mirrored motorcycle visors, unfortunately they aren't really solid green and tend to be a bit more multicolored.

Hey guys I have a problem..... chestplate is done, but its wayyyyy too wide for me. Perfect heighth wise. And ive spent over 7 hours on it and im alittle frustrated. Should I redo it or do you think taking a section out of each side would be okay?

Well... I went ahead and took a section out of each side, much much better... however i sacrificed the good pep job i did on it and its got many imperfections. However Im hoping that when i get down to resin and bondo that I can fix my mistake.

Still very nice! The backside is awesome! I hope you can make it work... if people claim the MC isn't anatomically correct, then look at samus! There's no way a human should be able to fit into that suit... lol!

Yeah, you may have to play around with the scaling... especiall yhte legs. Very long and slender.

To flip the parts in pepakura go to the 2D PatternWindow tab and select the flip pattern button.

There's a link to a good Samus cosplay so you can see what you're up against. You might be able to use a couple ideas from that, like the lighted arm cannon.

The chest piece looks nice, but before you take the time to fiberglass it have you considered how you are going to support the shoulder pads? It seems like the common way is to have them semi-rigidly mounted to the chest piece...so you may want to consider adding slot or structures to the chest in order to support the shoulder pads.



In this example, PVC piping extends from the chest piece to hold up the shoulder pads. The initial plan was to have the shoulders be semi-rotatable, but it that seems to be more trouble than it's worth.
