SciFi Days Herxheim (Germany) Pics

Hello everybody,

yesterday I was at the SciFi Days in Herxheim. Its a little but nice SciFi related convention escecially for Costumes and collectors. So ideal to wear the armor there. Some guys from the 501st and me had fun together and took some pictures. Enjoy!

It was both, indoor and outdoor. You see it in the 4th pic. In the city hall building there were traders, collectors and fans with their stands, dioramas and presentations on 2 floors. Outside in the tent there were different lectures, for example one from a lecturer from an University for applied sciences about the Technology in Star Trek, one about costume building etc.

And of course most fans in Costumes were outside because the weather was great and due to a nice cold wind sometimes it wasn't hot in armor. And we walked through the streets outside the con with a small group of people to irritate some people who didn't know that there was something special. One great moment then was when the Police drove by in a police car and I was standing on the street with SMG in my hand and waved... and they drove bit slower. Looked at me. Rewaved me and drived on as if there wasn't any exceptional. LOL *g*

Oh yeah, sadly it will...
I want to the USA once in my life but well not to the DragonCon this or next year. *g* I already looked for the flight prices, but when I saw that only fly to and back again will cost between $2600 - $5000 (Without the heavy armor as extra package fee and without hotel etc.) I quickly stopped thinking about it. *g*

I guess I'm going to stay here for a while. *g* Maybe FedCon next year. *g* Lets see what future brings.

Herxheim...Where is that? Lots of my family lives in Heidenheim, if you know where that is...Looks fun, and very Germany-ish

Yes, I know Heidenheim, its near Stuttgart in Baden-Wuerttemberg right? Near the Bavarian frontier. Herxheim ("am Berg") is in Rhineland-Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz) so about 200-300km away from Heidenheim.

I like both, "work" for them too as Stormtrooper or Bounty Hunter, just as the fancy takes me.
