It's been awhile, but I think it's under view, and then show edge id #.
IDK, it's something like that, but no you don't need a new pdo.
That depends, is this a size tester you're making?Kaizer said:Is 32.0 a good scale to keep it at?
Like my whole head or just ear to ear >.>randomman said:That depends, is this a size tester you're making?
IDK how big the scout is when you build it, but you shouldn't trust scale number as a good unit of measure for how big it will be.
All helmet models I've seen used a different method for scaling, but all files do support one thing:
under that same menu it shows you how tall it will be in inches (as well as other dimensions).
Besides, IDK how big your head is, so IDK if that's a good scale.
So here's what I would do:
Measure noggin, put that in there (as a tester) and see how good it fits.
Make any necessary adjustments and make a final pep.
IMHO.
You could probably just do an ear to ear measurement and put that in the horizontal dimension (idk how to describe that lol) but yeah that should be fine.Kaizer said:Like my whole head or just ear to ear >.>
Horizontal..?...randomman said:You could probably just do an ear to ear measurement and put that in the horizontal dimension (idk how to describe that lol) but yeah that should be fine.
Should be.
randomman said:No, I meant in pepakura.
You're head is 14 ear to ear, how big was the helmet before you changed the scale?
Did you look at the pepakura scaling thread?
i take the tip of the measuring take and pull it to the other side of my ear. so from one tip of my ear on my left side and then the other on the right. and it comes out 14 inches. maybe i do mean the diametere im sorry im not good with this scaling stuffreactor beam said:how can your head be freaking 14 inches ear to ear?! did u mean the diameter from ear to ear around your head?
randomman said:alright, according to calculator the original width of the helmet was 10 inches.
Didn't you say it was huge?
A height less than ten inches (off the top of my head) sounds pretty small.
IDK, I'm probably messing you up with this post...
umm, you said the first one you made was huge, right?
Do you have any pics (preferably with you wearing it)?
I'm not really getting frustrated, although I'm kind of a noob at this myself, I'm really just repeating what I've heard around the site.
In fact, I made a post in that scaling thread and I think it was belakor made a post that really helped, tho that was a couple months ago and I'm still not done (It's more cause I just stopped than anything. I'm a start back up tonight tho).
I'll see if I can find it and edit my post.
So you have it figured out now ?Kaizer said:Sorry if anyones mixing anyone up its me mixing you up XD..
My first helmet was the Mark VI it was 31.9cm in height and 27.8cm width
Edit sorry no pics : ( no camera
My second helmet im going to work on is the Scout and the measurements are 2
25.0cm height 27.2cm width sorry about that XD..
