just out of curiosity, how hard is that stuff? it looks some where around the texture of plaster but i doubt its that brittle.

too bad there isnt a non toxic bondo...or is there?

This is non-toxic bondo.
Aqua Resin can be mixed in different ratios to achieve different effects.

Lookin nice, sc... I'm waiting for a callback from the supplier in Boston before I get any of this stuff. Till then, I just frequently check your thread and marvel at your wonderful non-toxicity.

Frosty, I used A.R. not Bondo :) This is why I think A.R. is cheaper and safer in the long run :) I used a 1:5 ratio to make the thick Bondo-like substance :)

@ Madness: Oh madness, you're Mom is a girl haha.... oh wait :p Yes I know :) hehehe and thanks :D

@ Rob: Thanks:D

@ Ruze: yeah, the supplier here is ALWAYS out of Powder. I have to call back next week to try and nab the 4 lbs tub of it. The 26 lbs is $95.00

@ FS I lmao for like five minutes

@ SK It looks awesome! I think the rough parts that people are talking about are actually just a slight misconception due to the slight colorations of the different parts, that makes it look elevated. After further review it looks like you've gotten right into smoothing out some of the most distinct parts.

In short, looks badass, will be awesome. mmk? k.

Double post shuffle:

Since sanding and shaping my helmet is on hold (dust in a computer filled apartment is bad, mmmmmmmmkay)I started on the torso about a week ago and spent some time on it this week. IT's not a difficult build, to me anyhow, tedious at times, but fun :D The scale is pretty dead on for me, it may fit a skosh different since I am a woman, hahha but so far, so good. After it's built etc etc, I'll have to figure out what to do to get it to go on after it been glasses, the hole where the head goes is too small XD:

LOL, i love the last picture.

But I agree with you, better to make some progress, than to just make none, that's how I was when I made my first suit, If it was a rainy day, I'd just make another pep piece rather than mope around and make 0 progress.

When I saw these pictures, it reminded me of Arby n the cheif about recon armor

"Do u think tis rmer is secksy? I tink it r seky, do you thk it r teh sexy?"

xD

Does the oil keep the system cool? Wouldnt it conduct electricity? I'm not too sure about this seeing that the LCD screen didnt even have a wire connected to the back of the PC.

But if it does work, the power supply is still not covered with oil, which ends up letting it's fan still suck in dust.

Meh, my dream PC wouldnt have a single fan in it, I'd use a freakin air conditioner to cool it. (actually I'd use water cooling)

I love the new pics! Your gonna have your torso done before me at this rate! I love it! Great work!

BTW guys, isn't this topic "Skullcandy Girl's Armor Progress"?

And SC your so gonna have the guys turning into "Tucker".

@ Frosty: yeah thats how I look at it too :) There's a lot of work to be done before D-Con and I just like to keep moving along :D

@ X: Hahah funny dood XD The thing is, not everyone has a full Avid station, an animation station a long with Digitizing equipment in their Apartment, so it wouldn't work, neat video though XD

@ Doc: Heh perhaps, I have today and maybe tomorrow night to work on it, I have more stuff to work on during the week. And you ARE doing it without numbers...!! Hah thanks for getting back on topic :D
