*Average Joe* "So nice armor, what's you number baby?" heheheheheh

I will always regret giving you that hammer.......
ouch!

@X: Oh sorry X I didn't see your A.R. question. A.R. has it's own line of fiberglass, a chopped strand version and a surfacing veil in 3 different thicknesses, which made my helmet rock solid... I won't drop it though dunno what to look for to determine as far as the "look" of something being brittle.

@ Spartan: Yeah, it won't be for a while, though I know you have a huge amount of exp with prop making so I'll take your word for it :)

@ RvB: Hahahah "what the hell is wrong with this sandpaper, it's not sanding"

@Doc: You're asking for a beating son *holds Shilalee in hand*

Yeah, its good armor progress nonetheless, at least YOU have access to resin, all i have is a 70% complete pepakura suit, no resin or paint in sight.

im blowin all my cash on paintball, when i could be makin my armor. Curses!

 trust me, with a full-auto gun, i am.

its either resin or paintballs, and i chose the latter. i think its the latter, if not, point and laugh.

Ummm....... *DoC points and laughs*

Your right on saying the latter, just the wrong choice. ;) j/k

BOLD # 1: Well, I'd say I have enough experience in prop making to know such things, lol.

Btw, I can't recall if you've done this with any of your armour yet, but I'd suggest that aside from using higher-grit sandpaper, try wet-sanding it. That'll help to give you a smoother surface, and remove a lot of the particles produced by sanding ;)

BOLD # 2: I can see an AR clubbing coming, heh heh:lol:

Yeah it's been a minute since I updated, between ODST, work and life I haven't had time to do much work on my armor, though I made time tonight and this past weekend.

I have a left bicep, and most of my FS torso done. My helmet is still rough and hasn't been touched in a few months, sooooooooooo meh. one addition to it is I got my mittens on a Westerfield visor, wick fits well :D May try to dig for some kind of tinting kit, but it's a good start :D

Hard to take shots of the back and even tummy part XD Torso fits well :) I tried it on before I started sealing the back, good fit for me :D Yesh new hair cuts and voguin' in my armor :p

Oh...you are coming out NICE!!! <----- I meant your armor is coming out nice. I wanted to know what the scaling was for your helmet and also your Torso!

I have completed both left and right side arms and currently working on the shins...I have some progress but I am lacking the motivation atm since I just started working on my Pred suit. But I will get the rest going once I have my Torso!

looks gud. :D nice haircut too. heh, did you have to take a bit outa the sides to make it fit snuggly r u still workin on those parts? (i see scotch tape!!!)

oh and of corse ladies can wair armour. ie: kelly, linda, lucey etc

EDIT: @doc: whats ur avatar saying?

@Kole: Hahahah thanks@ Well I measured from my belly button up to get the Assembly height for my torso since I wasn't too worried about it fitting snug, hahaha though it's funny the rib looking piece goes right across my boobs hahahah... anyhow. My helmet was 26cm assembly height. I want to say my torso was around 32 or 34, though I need to double check. I gotta hot glue the bidep so it doesn't fall apart and warp XD I'll assemble the right sometime next week or maybe this weekend I'm gonna see if I can invade my friends backyard for a day so I can sand and smooth my armor pieces. Ohhhh COOL! Can't wait too see your Predator suit!

@Spartan: hahah yeah, see they done been wrong! Maybe I could be Maria from the Halo graphic novel ;D Similar hair-do :D

@Silent: Shanks, the armor looks flash :D

@ FS: Nah I put all the pieces on. I just tried it on before I got too far along with the assembly. everything has been attached, I just have to glue on the vents on the back :) One I reinforce it with Fiberglass I want to see if I can put my forearms together hahah. I do have to make the neck hole a bit bigger. it looks GREAT :) Thanks for all your hard work :D

@ NZ: Shanks :) Ah I'll try to soon, I still have to wait a bit so I can try the wet sanding Spartan Suggested :D

@ Ruze: HAHAHAH just you wait, I can La Tigre my way into something sooon HAHAHA!

@Mags: HHAHHHA work it :p It felt good to build again :D

And people said that chicks cant where the mark VI and man where they wrong

You've got that right, Spartan! ;)

Skullcandy... that torso armour's looking pretty damn slick. Good, clean folds and all. The details are all very crisp. You'll have no problem bondo-ing and further detailing it. You've got a good base to work with.

And I agree on the Westerfield visor. Looks like it's a perfect fit! Now all you have to do is figure out how to tint it, heh.

This is coming along very well. Keep up the good work! (y)

I find it interesting to note that two of our more prominent female SPARTANs here are at about the same stage in thier armour; both Aeonyx and Skullcandy have thier helmets and torso's put together.

It's almost like we're watching a joint project come together here, lol. Way kewl...

Thanks Spartan, I slowed down a lot more, even since my FS helmet, I could have done some of my pep construction better on the helmet, but it's how I learned :) I want to try and get a good chunk of the upper body done before I get to the ODST armor, which I still have to finish my end of the armor. NZ and I have gotten busy and doing details takes longer than chunking out the modeling XD

Hahahah, yeah well ladies need armor too :D Aeon will definantly finish long before me, and I'm happy to see more female Spartans :D We keep the guys in line hahahahaha... maybe?
