Southern Regiment Convention List

Hey Southern Regiment,


I am looking to put together a running list of conventions that our members are interested in attending. This thread will serve two purposes:

1. Collection Point – Everyone can reply here with conventions they’d like to see on our radar.
2. Living Resource – I’ll keep a regularly updated sheet (and this first post) so we can easily see what’s upcoming and where our members are planning to be.

This is similar to what DirtDives did in the past and I’d love for us to bring that back as a way to organize, plan, and show up strong at events.


When you reply, please include:

• Convention Name (example: Dragon Con)
• Area/Location (example: Atlanta, GA)
• Dates (example: Aug 29 – Sept 2, 2025)
• Sizing (Small / Medium / Large, or an approximate attendance if you know it)

Carolina Conventions:

HeroesCon Charlotte (Charlotte, North Carolina): HEROESONLINE :: HeroesCon 2025
It would be a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with this convention, as the 501st and such legions always have a giant booth there. The staff and owners are incredibly kind, and I try to attend it every year.

NC ComicCon (Durham, North Carolina): North Carolina Comicon | Bull City November 8th & 9th, 2025

Ichibancon (Concord, North Carolina): Ichibancon
It is an anime con, but it is a hotspot.

Galaxycon Raleigh (Raleigh, North Carolina): GalaxyCon Raleigh
Although a new con that needs more time to grow and develop, it would be an excellent convention to strut our stuff in.

Carolina Renaissance Festival (Huntersville, North Carolina): Carolina Renaissance Festival
A two-month-long event that would be an incredible opportunity for the 405th. The 501st always has a booth there for at least one weekend, and I'm sure we can get to that point as well if we are dedicated and show up.

South Carolina ComicCon (Greenville, South Carolina): SC Comicon – South Carolina’s Premier Comics and Pop-Culture Convention

Any HCS event in the Southern Regiment: These events are crucial for the Southern Regiment, and we should not overlook them under any circumstances. The Esports team hosting the events is usually very accommodating and loves having us there.

I believe the Carolinas (especially Charlotte) are an excellent opportunity for growth in the Southern Regiment.

I can almost always be boots on the ground for any of these cons for at least one day to an entire weekend if I am given notice. I will also be happy to spearhead and plan the events if I am given enough notice of at least two months. I live 30 minutes from HeroesCon, Ichibancon, and 45 minutes from the Carolina Renaissance Festival, so I am more than willing to house a few individuals and temporarily store props for events. I also have easy access to Galaxycon Raleigh, as my brother has an apartment roughly 10 minutes away from the convention center.
