Anyway, I started building my helmet last weekend... but school and lot's of homework makes progress slow.
I didn't change the size, because I'm very tall for my age (14 years, 75.2 Inches) and I've got a pretty big head
I am however, going to resize the rest of the armor.
I've finished the top of the helmet, going to start on the bottom tomorrow.

Some pictures:

Front:

Side:

Under (?):

My plan:

- Finishing the pepakura
- Resin
- Fiberglass (maybe not)
- Paint it White or Light Grey
- Paint a second layer with another color (green/blue/red)
- Visor (gold, maybe 2 layers)
- Making the inside a bit more "comfy"

I'm going to repeat these steps with every piece of armor (exept for the Visor part)

Any tips?

TIP #1:
Don't resin the inside and the outside at the same time. It causes warping. :)

TIP #2:
If piece is still wet after sitting out for over 5 hours, put another coat over it with a tad bit of extra hardener. Also, you can let it sit with a blow dryer/heat gun blowing on the wet spot for a few minutes.
(Use the heat gun with you there, don't leave it by itself.)
(Blow dryer can be. It doesn't get too hot.)

Ok, I'll keep that in mind when I'm going to resin.

Very nice folds! Did you score them before you folded them?

I used a small kitchen knife and my hands (yes I truly did) for the folds.

And thanks.

Wow, i'm a complete noob at this and i know i'd screw something up without having the color coded fold lines from the pep folding tutorial. Nice work!

A small kitchen knife? That's pretty cool ^^.

Yeah, they're great for folding because they don't go through the paper.

I reccomended to use one.

And credit goes to Link for telling me that you can put a second coat with a little extra hardener to fix the wet spots... :)

I used to use a kitchen knife too, but I found a dull box cutter to be better or about the same, it slightly cuts the top layer of paper and indents the line, the folds fold themselves now, well with some pressure from my hands of course

Need help choosing a color.

I know it's early, but I want to be prepared.

Which color do you recommend? Green, Blue or Red, and should I add stripes or not?
Tell me your opinion.

I saw black underarmor with red on the shoulder area and forearms but they didn't have it at the store... It was online though... :\

Those are like... Auto gloves or something...

They look perfect with the color.

Anyway, I'm off, it's 22:30 'round here and I'm pretty tired. ;)

See you guys tomorrow!

I's like to see blue with white stripes.

Could you use wood hardener?
