So do the valleys need more filling in them, or do I grind the hills until they are down to the valley? The chewed up brim was my crappy cutting, but I left the extra lip on it for dying and painting the visors.
I’m not sure why I’m having such a hard time understanding this, but it will be a great what not to do for someone in the future lol

Is that by chance you sanding and getting through the top layer and now into the infill? That's my worry.

I’ve used two different layers of Bondo and resin. If I’m down to the infill I have bigger problems.

Yes.

A combination thereof. Try not to sand through the walls. Try not to stay stationary when you sand creating flat spots by getting so focused on 'level' that you loose sight of needing the entire buck to maintain a uniform smooth curve for the least amount of distortion in the pull.
And some. Sand some. Repeat where and as much as needed.
