The Clone Wars Armor

Like the title says....This thread is for my build of the clone wars animated armor.



This is the ultimate WIP as everything will be designed and built by me. From the 3D files, to the pep files, to the pep build, making the built parts into vac forming bucks, to pulling the plastic. Once i am done the project i will make the pep files available for download, but only once i am done them completely (as i might make changes to them as i proceed and i dont want people getting halfway through building it and go WTF!!! and i get spammed with hate mail....LOL).



So here we go.



Started building the 3d file that will eventually become a pep file, then a forming buck for my vac table.

Here is a screen cap of the chest in pepakura. All i did was hit the unfold button (sized at 390mm width) and adjusted the layout of the parts. No unfolding has been done yet. As you can see not alot of little bits left over....should unfold nicely.

So far thats it. Next part is the back and matching them up.

I dunno though... they seem to have a dislike for pep. Anyway, yay! clones! Even as annoying as Clone wars is, the clones themselves are what make it tolerable... keep it up! Very nice work there!

The whole armor minus the helmet....there are already several good TCW Clone helmets pep files out there (Rundown has one available) so i am not going to that part.

great work on the clone trooper armor, i do wish there was more star wars stuff , aka storm trooper and my fav the speed a bikemen ( Scout trooper ) hell i just wish i could find a pep Helmet lol

nintendude has a full pep file of a scout. IT's in his 3d model packs. The helmet is low in detail, so it'll need some work to look good. But as far as I know, that's all you can get for free... Sjip might have one, but you gotta pay.

Last update for the night then i am off to bed......



Got the back almost done and sorted out. Just have to add the ridge that surrounds the box. Not too sure if i am going to leave it blank and resin cast the details for inside the box or add them in. Anyway, here it is so far..

Looks good man, may have to build a set myself once you release it. Need to buy a bunch of mannequins before I build any full suits though.
