Howdy folks, just dropping by to create my own introduction. Am I right to assume as long as this is in the noob forum, I'm allowed to create this thread? After all, the introduction is for other members to get to know each other on a name to name basis, and how many of you honestly regularly check the introduction thread? This is not an attention thread, only an introduction, which I believe is allowed. Mods, PM me if you do not approve, thank you.
So, a few facts about myself; I'm an 18 year old from Texas, newly high school graduate ranked 68 out of about 470. I'm a hands-on kind of guy; very crafty, and can do pretty well if I put my mind to anything I try. I started off high school taking medical and health classes with the thought that I'd fall into the medical field, however, volunteering at a hospital for a year really opened my eyes of the field, and I decided working countless hours day in and day out in that sort of environment can be really stressful and eventually boring. Fortunately, at the same time I was also taking multimedia classes, where I discovered I had a keen talent with programs like Fireworks, Photoshop, Dreamworks and the likes. In my senior year, I took Photography. That's where my teacher recognized my talent with the programs we used, and she moved me to Photography II. In this class, we dealt with filming and I loved it. Now as a graduate, I plan on attending a local college down the road to get my basics out of the way, and then enter a university to major in Graphic Design and Film.
As far as pepakura, I've had very little experience with paper craft, and I can't wait to see what I can create. I've read all of the information I found, so I have a general idea on how to create my own armor, thanks to the stickies. But there's only so much information you can get without actually working with your hands, so bear with me if I ask a few questions. I am, after all, a noob in these waters! I think I'll get as far as the bondo stage before I'll need any help, because I'm still a bit iffy on that.
And lastly, I'd like to say I'm not a total noob, forum generality speaking. I may be new here, but I'm also head administrator on another forum. I only say this because I know how new members of a forum can be, but I do have a head on my shoulders, so you guys wont have to worry about me. I think that's about all I have to say for now, if you guys want to know more or something, just hit me up with a private message and we can chat or be buddy-buddy. Totally up to you.
Enough about me, I encourage people to respond with information about themselves here in comments, and not with the crumby old generic facts you see in the introduction thread. Have to start somewhere if you want to build a friendship with other members, right? I apologize if this is out of line. If it is, tell me otherwise in a PM. Thanks for reading.
