not gonna lie.... all ive done is gone backwards since the last update. I try to move on the next part and in the process i ruin another part, then spend 2 weeks fixing the helmet to how it looked before that

I no longer see the finishing of this helmet in sight.

The main problem ive been getting is that i was never satisfied with the panel lines, so i kept patching it with body filler and sanding it. Eventually it got down to bare cardboard and fiberglass. So i tried to patch that spot up and during the sanding, another spot messes up and this has been going on for 3 weeks now all in the same area

so before i decided to empty a magazine of 7.62 rounds into the helmet, i decided to try the rondo method

Built a flimsy wall

and to my demise: because of the curvature, the rondo mix started to pour over the tape wall, so i quikly grabed some bounty paper towels and starded whiping it off whatever i could ... Oh boy another problem to do deal with later

Im gonna go ahead and point on the main problems why this is taking forever to complete

- Did not do a very neat orgainzed job building the cardboard helmet. SO i had to use an exessive amount of body filler to build the entire shape

- I kept throwing different paints and primers: And you can see how messy all the random spots of paint look

- Im aiming for perfection, anything that bothers me gets destroyed with my dremel leading to more problems

:( Hang in there man, your helm is still looking awesome!

I feel your pain with the rondo situation. If you're not careful in how you mix it sometimes it can be a bit un-ruly :)

I spent most of today filling the interior of my ODST helmet. I won't have to do much bondo work fortunately, just enough to smooth over the paper folds over the broad areas.

How do you go about your line-work on the top of the helmet? Is that all done by dremel or did you use a triangle file over the bondo?

Good luck!

closer and closer, but getting awful lazy. Probably working on it once every two weeks

I know i couple of you guys waited on visors. I have1.58 mm PETG plastic but i need reshape the visor to fit properly and ill start vacuforming
