I thought Dave handed it off to someone else when he left. anyone know what happened?

It dropped off the radar. Their website license has expired and it's likely that none of the constituent members take an active part in the costuming/prop community anymore.

It's a little bit of a shame, but these things happen, unfortunately.

the 6 people who are very active on there, myself included, were willing on keeping the site going, but Dave fell off the face of prop making since he went into snake stuff.
