So I live in the UK and I keep hearing about "Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome" being one of if not the best product to use for making a mirrored visor, but that's not available here so I've tried a couple aerosols from various shops to see if they'd work but no luck so far. They all end up being paints meaning they're not see through which is obviously no good to me and I don't really fancy buying hundreds of different products to see if they'd work (I ain't made of money). So I've put up this post to see what others have done and what's worked for them.
My visor is made of vacuum formed PETG and yes I have tried window tint, it's not a flat surface so there's too many ridges and so it doesn't stick and gets covered in bubbles (It looked like crap). I don't own an air brush and compressor nor do I know anybody who does, but am thinking about investing in one for future projects but that's not exactly a cheap expense, at least for any decent quality ones. So I've really been banking on finding an aerosol can that'll do it. Hopefully someone on here will have an answer to my dilemma, thanks for taking the time to read this I've really racked my brain all I can so you lot are my only hope.
(For those who may be curious, I'm making a halo reach JFO Helmet! The rest of the armour comes after I finally finish this helmet I've procrastinated painting for over a year.)
