Being a huge sci-fi nerd, I've been interested in building my own costumes instead of having to rummage through the crap in the stores. To be honest, how is it NOT cool to not only be a girl but also parade around campus with authentically made Halo armor? It just puts those cheap-o Master Chief costumes with the cloth to shame.

Being an artist is another part of it.
