worried about helmet size / scaling

i have the pepakura cut out, and folded with a pen, the folds are very accurate and im happy with the pices
but i decided to star from the bottom of the helmet up wards, i started with the neckhole (obviously where you put your head to get in the helmet, but the hole alone, (in card), doesnt actually fit over my head, it rests on my head...not far enough, i want to know if this is too small, because i really dont wanna carry on with this for ages to realise it wont fit me, i puit alot of card inbto this and ill be upset to think it wont fit

EDIT: i looked at the finished helmet on pepakura and thought that the headhole is very small for the helmet and that if my head would fit through that tiny hole, the helmet would just look too big, do ya thinnk i could keep going with it then sand the hole when im finished to make it bigger, if i do this will the helmet remain too small?

just cut the neck out like the stickies tell u. your neck is smaller then your head,no?

dont worry about the neck hole for now

My neck hole was way to small so i had to cut most of that out

and did you use the same helmet im using?
