Wow, My Xbox Just Got Bricked.

That sucks.... I've had mine since the elease and have never had any problems, and I play like 7+ hours a day . I'm not sure what one light means, maybe it's just a simple fix, like a faulty power cord?

btw, when I got my Zune, it had a faulty battery, so I sent it in to microsoft, and they had it back to me within a week. So I guess it just depends

I just read the Red Rings site and it says that E73 is "GENERAL HARDWARE ERROR: Ethernet Port Malfunction." Disconnect the ethernet port and try again. Could be a broken connection or a blown fuze somewhere. You have to crack the box to get the HDD out of it anyway (My little brother has one of the first edition Elites and you would have to crack the box on his to get it out) so look around while you're in there and make sure that the ethernet port doesn't have a loose solder or something cuz you might be able to hit it with a soldering iron and end up fixing it. $0.50 worth of solder and 5 minutes of work is better than paying $10.00 in shipping and losing 2-3 weeks of time.

I checked it. The error says my ethernet port is malfunctioned. My mom said we had about a 3 minute blackout while I was sleeping. I checked the ethernet cord, and theres a scorch mark all the way down the wire and into my xbox. I'll try to get some pictures if my camera can charge.

I don't see why you don't send it in if its broken. Espcially if you can't go without it for two weeks. But 13? Damn, The most I've seen is 7, luckily my friend was able to return them all back to BestBuy and get a new one on the spot.

Sorry about your luck. My Elite was bought the day they came out and I've never had a problem with it. Of course I'm not playing it 12 hours a day either. Until last night, it hadn't been on (for gameplay) in about a month or so.

I ordered the box to ship it, but do i have to print out my own label and get my own box or something. I heard people having to do that. I don't have a printer. I have some boxes but none the right size. Yup, 13.
I think ethier this elite lasted from some date I posted earlier, or it was from launch. Oh, BTW, I don't play 12 hours a day. Only 3-4. Usually 2.
