Ello all, I'm at my mother's house and she need help on her computer. I was wondering if any of you knew of any free, yet reliable, Virus/Spyware/Adware Protection to put on her laptop. I myself use something like CA from Road Runner but I don't know how to set up an account for her. Thanks guys

I personally like the GUI and feel of AntiVir antivirus
I use COMODO for a firewall as well, both are free.

As for spyware, there's alot of equal tools. Spybot and Hijack this are a good pair for advanced users

adware is simple though, lavasoft's adaware. The new version just came out too.

you should go with avg...alot of big buisnesses use it. it is very reliable too.

hmm, it's probably your network adapter, try reverting/updating it's driver.
