While taking a break from my pulse rifle build ive decided to have a go at making a Bolt pistol from Warhammer 40k. Pictures speak louder than words for me so wargleblagle!!!!!!!!!! Here:
Oh but it will shoot The cocking bars just havent been done yet as ive been concentrating on the shell. As for using a Recon, its what i had laying around due to it not fitting this project:
This update ive borrowed the skills of a friend with a laser cutter and attempted to cut some imperium eagles (for lack of a better name heh).
Tried on a scrap bit of styrene (yes its poisonious to cut..) and failed to go through. We upped the laser power and it melted. Thats a fail.
Ok then change of plans, we then tried some off cut 1mm 'acrylic' which turned out to be polycarbonate... this stuff is awesome! But it didnt cut. 5 or so passes and we got through half way
Bah, ok then, we will use real acrylic, but thicker. This worked
Thanks Matt! The 'greebles' take the longest to workout, but will make or break the project. Im wondering if i should add a styrene border to the side panels...
Wow! Would've commented yesterday if my net hadn't been out. That badge is gonna look awesome! As well, as the whole gun of course. I love the idea of running around in costume firing that thing at people

I hope it turns out ok, i painted the other side without breaking it up into the individual bits. I might make a foam chainsword and use this in a Humans Vs Zombies game
Yep, it will definately be able to shoot Im going to put rails down the insides that connect to the plunger tube, which will extend out the back. Not quite cannon but it will look the business.
