First foam cosplay

How are you adhering the craft foam to the lycra?

I'm sewing the craft foam to the lycra. I used that method on my former undersuit and it works well. I think Spacemeat cosplay also do this.

What colour are you think of doing ?

You mean the color i'm gonna use for the armor ? If it's that, it will be Fred's color, a blue/green

Wow. Fred's armour seems to be a popular Spartan set. There seems to be at least 2 or 3 other people building that set.

That there are.......The color that mawrTRON used was Teal......I found a such a color at Home Depot.....also Fred's undercoat isn't a silver.....The closest I have found to that dull metallic gunmetal color is antique pewter also can be found at Home Depot. Cactus117 are you afraid that the craft foam will tear under stress if you sew it? It is pretty thin and weak material....Craft foam that is.....not the undersuit. And as a side note: AMAZEBALLS BUILD!!!!! You are killing it.Fantastic work on the chest piece. I now rank 3 in the Fred builds........

Hi Dirtdives ! The color I used was this one: http://www.castorama.fr/images/products/i/i_666416.jpg It was the closest I found. I also have another lycra/craft foam undersuit and it doesn't tear unless you want it. Craft foam + PVA glue and paint give that plastic look of the spartans undersuit. I'm also looking forward to see your build finished, I think I will be done for next week

More progress on the blue paint. Still have to do one more coat on the shins and two coats on the thighs. I think it's gonna be finished for next week.

Looks awesome for a first foam build. Honestly I think your lying about this being your first it's definetly better then my first build. Job well done!! Just one critique need to get your thigh armor to stay up a little higher

Thank you ! It's my first foam build honestly About the thighs, I made it a bit too tight so I can't pull up it more and it really feel like making new ones now :/

you could always slice in to the inner seam and glue in a small section or leave it and use a closure of some kind like velcro or strap.

This is exactly what i did with my suit. It works great
