Ludicrously great build so far man!!!!! I love the attention to detail with the foam. Which type of foam are you using?
Keep up the AWESOME work!!!!!

I hope to achieve this level of detail when i finish my hotknife. Also, where do you get the foam for the raised details?

*Mini Q&A and tutorial*

Ok so I've gotten like 4 question that I havent been able to answer, some will be answered by the tutorial lol

Tutorial :

Ok how to make the bubble texture.

So first start with taking the regular sanding drum and loosen the screw and slide the sleeve up . And then tighten the screw back down.

Second attach it to the dremal and hold it in a stabbing motion and slowly guide the dremal down (don't push)

Ok so pull it up it honestly will take you 2-3sec. Try not to go to far or you will get the screw detail in the middle.

Then work in a flower motion and the complete another around that one and ect.

(sry for the blurryness )

Last but not least heat it up with the heat gun. Move in a circle untill you see the foam looks shiny and the dots go from

flat to bevaled . And there you have it!

Awesome work my good sir. What kind of bit are you using to shave the edges of the foam? *Can't wait to see your chest get started
*
I sand the edges with the sanding drum shown^

I love this build so far. *Any tips for figuring out how to make a flat pattern into a curved surface, like for those shoulders? *That's probably my biggest weakness is scratch stuff.

I am thinking about trying this: http://www.lowes.com/pd_271347-40688-2055002_0__?productId=3689976&Ntt=1/2"+hole+saw&Ns=

I use the dremal tile and grout cutter/cleaner bit . And I honestly just wing it with the shapes lol

EVA foam sheets it's the big puzzle mats :)

Ok so I hope that clears up a lot lol I'll try and post later on the chest :) seya!

the forearms look to short and rather wierd being so boxy but everything else is straight up amazing. truely great. i like the beveling you did.

Bud, I only wish I could work with foam as well as you do....And you're doing all your work without Pep as a backup. Very nicely done so far!!! Great detail.

well this looks totally wicked! I've never seen someone get so detailed just by using a heat gun/dremel with the foam! Absolutely subbing to this thread

*Update*

I must say you have some amazing foam skills. The pieces you have scratch built look very good.

On a side note what file did you use for the helmet?

I'm incredibly impressed, especially for a scratch build. Your technique for making the "bubbles" on the undersuit is very innovative too. Excellent idea. Might just steal it down the road ;)

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted in a bit this back piece is kicking my butt lol and also what color should I paint it red or blue?

*Update*

Okay so for the past 3 or 4 days the back piece has been kicking my butt. But today I actually got something done lol. The jet pack boosters lol

AWESOME Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Blue for the color. . . but I'm more partial to that color than red. So my opinion may be biased. LOL. :p

What are you using to make your angled cuts on the edges?!?! They look flawless.
