Vacuumforming Basics!

I am interested in making a storm trooper costume eventually and I know vacuumforming is a main technique for that, my question is how expensive is it? Like what is the cheapest way to get into it?

you cant vacuform without having the armor itself... youtube it



yes it can be done relativley cheaply. The whole concept is you place the buck (what you want a copy of) in the center of your sealed box, Place a heated sheet of plastic (usually polystyrene) over it and turn on the vacum and it the heated plastc will take the shape

You can sculpt your own bucks, or borrow someone else's. There are tons of resources for stormtrooper armor. Hereis a good one.
