So today started off as a normal day, several death threats later, I'm a tad worried. My "friend" who got "strip searched" by the on duty cop in my school believes I "narced" him, or told someone that he smokes and deals pot. He won't listen to me at all and a good majority of my former friends and his clientele have made threatening phone calls and threats. Many of them having police records already, kinda making the situation a tinsy bit more serious. I plan on taking this to a school official tomorrow to try to sort it out. So, inturn, I am looking for and advise from anyone who has been in this kind of situation before, or the liking. Thank you.

they're all talk. But there isn't much you can do. They won't believe you either way.

Better tell a counselor about it, and make a record of these threats though.

I wouldn't say all talk, but a bit of it yes. I've kept every text I have recived. I have a tape-recorder with my phone for whenever they call. Its more or less the question, if they confront me, what do I do?

Would that count as self defence or agrivated assault from harassment?
if youre intimidated by them, and they make threats at you, you can act out in self defense. if they're walking up to you, no you can't. Obviously if they hit you, its fair game. But if you feel you're threatened, go ahead. But if one person touches you, LAWSUIT.

Self defense...

And you might want to carry a knife with you too... I always have a blade on me and I had to use it once.... I kinda know how youfeel about the threats... Ive been pretty much the victim of everything....

Oh and if it's easier for you, a really hard punch to the middle of the chest will do the job too...

Bring a knife to school? Not the best idea in my opinion. I'm pretty content in my fighting abilities. I'm 6'2" 260 pounds. And built "like a rock." So fighting isn't really to much of a problim. Is anyone know much legal information?

I'm not saying carry a machette in your backpack, just a 6" folding knife that you keep in your bookbag or in your pocket. Trust me when I had to use mine it was the second i stepped off schoolgrounds and if i didnt have mine handy....well... I still would have gone down with a fight. It may not be correct if I say this but in this case I believe it's true "It's only illegal if your caught", take the chance and carry the knife. Just dont go flashin it all over campus.

Alright, I'll take my knife.
I highly advise against that. That's actually really dumb.

And I want to be a cop, so what do you want to know about law. I know some, and can get the info.

If you know any Martial Arts, that could help. It's always affective. And if theres a Place that sells weapons around or if you go to a Sword Website online, try to buy a Couple Throwing Stars and Kives, they'll usually have a Pack to put them in.

Alright guys, the point is to get him out of trouble, not self defense, like honestly, try just talking to em. at least get one of your closest buds and try and convince him, thats the only way that you can really convince all of em, after he spread it that is. sorry if that didn'tm ake sense, i'm playing COD4

Spartan117x, legally, what would the best course of action be? And if tthis escalates, what do I do, and where do I go to solve it?

Legally, right now you could get them in trouble for death threats, but that would only make them hate you more.

Plus, it wouldn't really do anything to help you- now like i said, if they lay a hand on you, or threaten you with a deadly weapon (baseball bat, knife, etc.) well, technically, you could bash their brains in and claim self defense. But thats where you should talk to officers once they threaten you. Obviously the self defense would be last resort.

I want to say restraining orders are possible, but you might have to talk to someone about that. But if they give you more threats, go to the police station, thats probably the best bet you could have.

Like I said though, if you want to become friends with them again, just talk to at least one of them, hopefully the most reasonable one, so that way they could spread it to the others saying that you really didn't tip him off to the cops.

If it escalates, what do you do? You stand your ground

Where do you go to solve it? Fairyworld, no really. Theres nowhere you can go besides moving. And that's the wimpy way out.

Who can you go to? Your parents, counselors, and if you believe it's reallly bad, tell the police.

I'm really not looking to be friendly with them, so I'm going to keep my distance. Also, What if something happens out of school? If they follow me home, or something?

Well the thing is, at least just pretend your being friendly. and tell them that you didn't rat them out. if that does nothing. Out of school, i take it you don't have a car? I doubt that they're going to go that far but if they do, you're going to be outnumbered probably.

Either, get some friends to help ya, get a ride, set up "checkpoints", have a cell phone, or just honestly walk away/run away and avoid em. Like I want to say, only run away if they have weapons or numbers, because if you run away they're going to know you'll do that in the future and they'll consider you a pussy that won't stick up for yourself.

I've talked to cops who worked jail, and they said its basically better to go in the jail cell and do what they need and get the $#!T beaten out of them, then just walk away. But i'm not telling you to get the $#!T kicked out of you. Like I said before, the best course of action is to at least try talking. If they threaten you, threaten them back. If they hit you--dodge it and punch em in the face :p.

But if it gets more serious, talk to the police about it, they might even be able to kinda "watch" you walk home if you know that they're coming for you lol.
