I thought you said that the figures wouldn't give you high enough detail?

I cant recall ever saying that in this thread - infact, aside from any screen grabs of his armor from the dvd or pics from the net, there's nothing out there that could help better in replicating scale & nuances of the armor except for the HT IM 12" figure.

Okay, the Hasbro 12" may help and is a lot cheaper, but definitely would have less detail compared to a Hot Toys IM figure.

For my build reference i am using the Iron Man Mark 3 marquette. Its got amazing detail, and there are a ton of pictures out there from it. Hope they help you in the longrun. Heres a sample.

By the way, great helmet so far!!

Gasp! :eek

Holy freakin'... um... what can I say? I'm rather speechless, buddy :p

Fantastic work on that Mk III helmet. That's the best-looking one I've seen so far. I just knew it would turn out awesome :D

If I could afford it (and if you were actually molding/casting these), I'd definately be in for one ;)

I see you managed to figure out the whole removable faceplate issue, btw :cool

Hey thanks bud - appreciate the vote of confidence :)

Just hit me up with an email.

I had one of my fiberglass workers try on the helmet so I could take pics - he's 5'5".

The pics also show the screw heads and rivet heads we modified to use for the helmet.

Do let me know what you guys think.
