Hey all, so I am at it again, aside from just some helmet projects I am working on I am starting on my custom Mando. And starting with the helm I have some progress to show

The one on the left was the first one I made, but thinking it was too big I rescaled it down a bit and made a smaller one

And then found it out to be just about the right size

So I am using the older/bigger one now and just keeping the smaller one back to make a female Mando for my wife

And today I managed to get the helm all resin'd and hardened up

The more and more I get done the more and more excited I am getting about this project.

I think what I am going to do with this helm (since I have a couple friends that want to do Mandos as well) is making this helmet as perfect as I can with just the basic details, then I will be molding it so I can get resin cast copies from the mold. That way I can get multiple pulls that I can detail/modify however I want and have lighter buckets for the costumes than this one will be.

So now comes the fun task of the bondo work!

Looking good! I saw you over on the Mercs website, and was wondering if you would be over here as well!
Where did you get that pep file BTW?

Nice helmet. Those plates need to be shaped to fit your body (Though you probable know that). Sizing looks spot on.
