Oh and the sniper rifle is pretty much done, i couldn't work on it for a few days because i got a ulcer on my eyeball and ive been temporarily blind, but its all good now (i just got back from the eye doc). Ill finish it tonight hopefully, pics to come.

Although before you put resin on it, I would to replace the paper barrel with a PVC pipe or at least give it some support.

Yikes... hope your eye's doing better. And hopefully, we can expect to see some more pics of this. I've seen maybe one or two other builds of this prop, so I'm eager to see someone else do something similar...

I would agree with Tater on that. If you really want to get a nice, straight-looking barrel for your rifle, PVC piping's the best way to go. You can then take the sound supressor attachment from your Pep barrel and add it to the PVC one...

Nope... that's a common misconception, but there are some very obvious differences/changes in the design of both...

Ok so i FINALLY finished my stupid rifle, its been a long and frustrating road but I made it, but there are a few things...
like, Im to lazy to put the legs and bridge on right now lol. Here are teh finished product pictures.

EDIT: IIRC, this is the first pep sniper rifle ever. What the length of this gun?

Thanks! the entire thing is exactly 53 inches long (4 feet, 5 inches) and weighs about 2 pounds (its all cardstok)

I would not sugest doing this UNLESS you like a challenge, this took me 2 weeks and i pretty much had to replace every part of it cuz i screwed it up so badly. its a pain in the butt, but it feels good to get it done :]

Ill fiberglass it in the next few months. All my money is tied up in other thigns right now, unfortunatley.

BRI, could you close up on those useless parts? i think the cylinder is the part of the barrel in the muzzle brake (the big thing at the end of the barrel), but the other parts? i need a better view. they probably go inside the model, so you wont need it. Check the 3d View without open faces (other configurations) and see inside and out. Also, find where it goes on the sheet and check cooresponding faces.

EDIT: ok, i found what they are. the one on the far left is the barrel piece in the muzzle brake, the far right goes on the sight, its a *chuckle* eyepiece (to go and block out the sun) its missing in your picture of the scope, so....BINGO! check the model, i missed it, but its unnessary to have. So is the other one.

havent quite figured out what the middle one is though....

Thank you RvB4life, i dont think im gonna add the "eyepiece" lol it looks a tad ridiculous and the other part has been attached to the muzzle, i thought i was suposed to go there but i didnt want to glue it on and make a mistake (there have been too many mistakes already and i cant take one more lol) the last piece i still cant figure out so im just gonna dispose of it... also ive realized that the legs dont fit nicely on the rifle.... so im goin to make some pieces to help me out so it will kinda be a custom piece. Ill get one more picture up on here when its all put together :]

very nicley done! it looks awesome and some parts are warped but i bet u can switch them with some metal pieces./or wood

Actually the only real bothersome part is the barrel but im goin to replace that with 1" pvc once ive resined the body so it can have some support, its a project still in the works but as far as i care the hard part has been done lol.
