So I got the Styrofoam core done today and started building up some details with foam...

Man i have missed two pages of updates lol. Torso turned out great, and the gun is coming along nicely

I kinda like Foxleaders idea of you hanging one up on the one lol.

I made good progress on the Rail Gun today, coming along nicely...way better than my MA37...





I know it looks a little crappy from the top view, but that will be nice and smooth after I finish it.
What do you all think about the gun so far?

This whole build is really good, it makes me want to make a h4 Master Chief. The rail gun looks good, but is it too thin (looking from the top)? It might be just me though. Anyway, great build, keep up the good work!

it does seem thin, however according to the official specs, the gun is only 1.77 inches wide at its thickest point...so it's actually spot on.

No seems on the top, its just one large foamie piece wrapped tightly over the sides. Came out nice.

The electronics are for the rail gun...HOPEFULLY, when I pull the trigger a blue EL wire will light up for 5 seconds and then the ammo hatch (servo) will pop open for 5 seconds and then close. We'll see if I can pull it off...total arduino noob...

Oh okay, well best of luck on that. I would love to help but i myself am a noob at that stuff too. I guess you gotta try it sometime to figure it out

Pressing on! Lot of progress last night, looking good. Lots of good depth details on this gun. Ordering the blue EL wire this morning.

I'm adding this PVC frame before I continue with details. The two split pieces of the 'barrel' are getting kinda heavy. Not only will it add support, but also an avenue for wiring electronics.

The operation was a success! She has a brand new set of bones! Hehe. Anyway, got the PVC frame installed and added a few more details. I found a flashlight at the dollar store that fit perfect on the front of the gun, I know its not a flashlight in the game, looks like a sensor of some sort, but it does look like a flashlight. I added some blue gels to the lens sonit would be more of an effect than a flashlight. I ordered 3 feet of blue EL tape which should be here by Monday.

Just a few more details left and then I will smooth out some areas with a little bondo. Should be painting by next week.
