Is that the final paint for the kneepad? It looks a little plastic-ish to me. Good job on the shin though, looks like you scaled it perfectly.
 
Looks good so far ! ! For the label part getting stuck in the knee i have a suggestion. A couple of my friends made odst armor and used the same type of knee pad. they cut that velcro label part off and bought thin velcro at joan's fabric store and sewed that on instead and it is super comfortable for them.
 
Since we are on the topic of being ODST for Halloween, heres some pics of my night of halloween. When I stepped in the mall, pretty much everyones head turned.. it was really cool! some guy was tapping really hard on his friends shoulder in shock and said "Oh my god! Dude its an ODST guy!!". it was really funny! Anyways heres some pics of my armor. Yes its Cardboard but i spend a lot of time on it trying to make it as good as a pepakura one. (no were close to Pep)
