So, I'm going to C-Con for the first time in my life (Uber excited!) and I've decided that if I'm going to make the 18 hour drive/train ride down to San Diego, I'm going to go all out and make as many diff armor sets as possible. The ones that I've decided to do are: The Spartan MK VI, Halo 3 Marine, and I'm going to update all my ODST armor to fit the enhancements made to the suits in H3:ODST. It's a big project and I'm hoping to cast it all out for the convention, which is currently about 6-months away. Right now I've got the following pepped:

-Rookie Helmet

-Halo 3 Marine Helmet

-HD MK VI Helmet

-Marine Chest

-Romeo's Goggles

-Buck's comm pack

-MK VI HD Chest



It doesn't seem like much, but here are some pics on what I just listed (And a nifty Video of me creating the MK VI Helmet! )

the costume team list were entering the masquerade together in an attempt to win for the 405th or at least have a fun time trying.

Not much of an update, just been workin like crazy on my ODST helmet.

Ran out of primer and had to use my extra Olive green to help me see what still needs sanding...

Yeah I'll be getting a visor for it- I just haven't ordered it yet. That hole is just so my friends can see through it when they came over haha. I'll be getting some more paint to add the battle damage and detail colors later today, probably post some pictures on it tomorrow, if not tonight.

yea I got the link here in my signature if any were interested in comic con. But aside from that I'm excited to see the armor progress for this project. Can anyone tell me when there will be more updates for this topic? Really looking foreword to the gathering for us all. There is some discussion as to having a party for the 405th during the time of comic con.

Will be soon I hope, I just got done moving and have managed to misplace everything in a sea of bins currently housed in a storage shed :/ will work on digging it all back out soon but when I do I think there will be some pleasant surprises

Well, sorry to disappoint Rvalera but this is the only thing I was able to dig out that's finished so far. Semi-final paint job, not sure if I'm going to add a gloss finish to it or not but what do you think?

Unfortunately this is the update to end updates. I got around to resining/fiberglassing everything this morning and left it outside to dry, then went to hangout with some friends; and it started raining for the first time in weeks- needless to say all my gear warped and fell apart, therefore this project is closed and I wish to thank those of you who have encouraged me to keep working and given positive feedback through it all. I'll be at Comic-Con still, I'll just be on leave from going on a suited-up patrol

HEY! So, hope this doesn't count as a necro-post... but I've decided that i want to pick up this project again for the release of Reach; and even expanding on my original plan-
First off:

Here is my armor so far... everything that was ruined previously I have repepped and am finishing it all up now.

FINALLY got around to painting Lee's pistol, think it looks pretty good so far!

And decided to go ahead and build the Halo 3 Sniper, which is HUGE but apparently is 1:1 scale... haha it's going to be a nuisance to carry all night

That's it for now... OH! have some marine suits that are being finished up as well, will be posting more soon; and as for Operation WEST I'm sorry to say that it will be put on hold for a few weeks... But it will be done eventually haha

Oh and BTW, ordered the visor for the ODST helmet finally ahaha
