What do you use the roll mat for?

Just for different thickness of foam, it's slightly thinner than the square ones.

Leading off w/ a title like that may have been a bit much.

Haha I just realized it's easy to misread... The armor variant I'm making is the "Prefect" set, not meant to be "perfect"

First picture of the costume with the new undersuit and hemlet!

So for my Advanced Photo class for school we had to make an alternate cover art for a book and I decided to do the novel Halo: Fall of Reach.


Original photo taken of me in my Spartan costume with camera on tripod. Sky replaced, color corrected, and composited in Photoshop. Ended up with 58 layers in my Photoshop document which took up 638 MB of space, LOL.


I'm fairly happy with how it turned out though.

Termhn, lets see some more pics of that helmet!!!

Can't wait to see finish some boots, seems like the only think missing.

Might want to try and cover up the lettering on your gloves if that will be possible.

Most people have been using paint ball gloves a lot. This pair actually:

That glove only seems to come in yellow. I'm sure there are gloves out there that might work better.

Indeed, thanks for the glove suggestions. I think I'm just going to try to paint over them; they don't look half bad when the logo isn't so prominent.

I'm going to be getting boots done for PCC theoretically which like last weekend of May. Gotta get school finished first though; now is crunch time :/

Prefect is one of the coolest armour sets i've ever seen, (Unfortunately, it's the UNSC's attempt to copy the original GRUNTINESS of the forerunners) Still, pretty cool. (If you don't know what gruntiness is, look up Gruntipedia in google.) WARNING: gruntipedia is NOT for younger audiences.

I'm more of a free handing guy but god dang it i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mine isn't great but its pretty good
