Compund eyes

Okay 405thers, im here with an odd topic to discuss, i'm wondering, if ANYONE HERE, knows how to achieve the 'Compound Eyes" of a Kamen Rider, yet eyes that you can see out of, share your thought and/or ideas!

to the both of ya, wont those conventional methods produce a kaleidescope-like effect while trying to see?

I can't think of any way to reproduce that visual effect while retaining normal vision out. You can have one or the other, but not both.

Perhaps TWO layers. The first layer should be formed over a smaller shape covered in some sort of mesh

in plastic that is the color of the eye.
The second layer should be made on a form that will be the TRUE size of the eye and formed smooth and clear.

The end result should be a semi-opaque colored hemisphere under transparent bubble type lens with a 3Dimensional depth. Hope this idea helps.
