Corupted Profile

i swear i must be soooooooooooooo unlucky, i turned on my xbox just now to finish a game and to my surprise, my profile was corrupted. ive lost everything. i have been working on it for over a year, im one of the people who's addicted to achievements, and i just lost 350 achievements and over 8500 gamerscore. that was over 20 games worth of points. the worst part is i have never connected to xbox live (stupid usb modem ) so i cant recover it. customer support told me theres nothing i can do, so now i have to start all over again
has this ever hapened to anyone else?

That's sad buddy.

It happened to me twice, but I just recovered it from the Live.

As long as you know you had the Achievements, that's what matters no?

but i was in competintion with a mate who had live(so access to more achievements) and i was catching him. im just better. now i have to start from scratch. dont think ill be doing much else for the next few months, certainly wont be getting much sleep

Heh, at least you're able to play your 360.

I got the RROD in March, requested a repair order, and its been canceled two times since then. I requested another one last week, but if they cancel this one, Microsoft will be getting a stronly worded email and/or call.

ive already had RROD. i got it back in like 4 days they were great. since then i got an intercooler, which i thought would stop any more crap hapening. i was wrong. why do they cancel? i just got sent a shipping label(didnt have the net at the time to print my own) and i didnt have to worry.

The first time was because of an invalid address, which is understandable, but the second time, there was no reason, and I wasn't even notified/contacted about it.

unlucky, hope all goes well this time. if not, a good amount of abuse usually does the trick, helps me anyway. and even if it doesnt, at least youll feel better.

Awww that sucks. I have defiantly been looking into making sure I have my stuff backed up. Especially after I lost everything on my laptop.
