Hello everyone, I am a new member here and wanted to know how long did it take to make the Halo gear and how much it costs? I want to know because I want to see if I should create one and If it's worth spending the money and having thE gear. :)

Welcome to the 405th!
First watch this video:
It will answer a lot of questions you probably have about the website and the armor building process.
The cost and time it takes are really up to you. If you want a quick costume for halloween you can make one pretty quick and pretty cheap but it won't be a piece of art. If you want to make a suit that looks truly epic it will take more time and money. Costuming can be an expensive hobby but it doesn't have to be. Make sure to read the stickies, especially in the pepakura section, and I'm sure you'll find a way to build your armor that fits into your budget :)

I've laid out what it cost me to build my suit in my thread, accessible at the link provided in my signature below.

It is a basic low-def suit made by a complete NOOB (me) and took about 2 months while I still had a real life (work, family, etc).

All the things you will need to learn are described in the "Help" stickies in this NOOB thread. This includes a method of building that will fit whatever your budget is.

Best of luck.

I built my noble six in under 4 months. With school in the way and a limited budget.
I spent maybe around $400 for everything + mistakes.

It's all in how far you're willing to take it really. I've got one suit that I have maybe $100 in and another I have well over $1000 in. My daughter's suit took about 4 months of casual building, and my suit took about 6 months of pretty hardcore building(50+ hours a week). Anyone can easily build a good suit for a couple hundred bucks in a couple months.
