I used 6mm eva foam for the main layers (used the sliced build method) and then used 2mm craft foam for extra detailing.
I am planning to after Supanova this weekend touch up my templates for the lightrifle / other pieces and upload them for all to use.

With 2days left before I head down to Supanova in Melbourne, I have finally completed all of which I set out to do

The magnum is now complete woot!
I feel as though it is the best thing I have built... so far.

My completed Halo 4 weapons-


All that is left to do is some minor things to the armour.
I am going to attach some straps to a few pieces like the thighs and shoulders (I am also adding a strap to hold the magnum in place)
to make sure that there is no way they will move out of place during the day.

Hey all, just some quick pics of the strapping for the thigh pieces / magnum.
There are some strap clips that connect the undersuit to the thighs, as well as a strap to keep the magnum in place.
(These aren't really completely necessary, but I put them on just to be sure)





Off to Supanova in the morning so when I get back I'll post some cool pictures

I can confirm that I will be heading to the upcoming EB Games Expo in Sydney.
I am planning to go in on the Saturday, and maybe Sunday.

Other than that one, I 'may be' going to the ComiCon in Mebourne or/and the Supanova in Sydney, but at this stage I don't know whether I can get the time off work to do so.

As for this thread, I am slowly going through the templates / files I used to make this armour set, and am planning to upload these soon.
I am also thinking of remaking the lightrifle [super detailed] out of wood and molding it at some stage.
(Currently the 2 leftover foam ones - I sent one to ArcSaber987 of which he is currently working on, and the other is under the bed for now)

I think my new major project is going to be completing my Livian Design, OR make a Khajiit fursuit from Elder scrolls online.
So no new halo costumes for now...

Ah, my poor ODST suit, slapped some repairs on the day before, broke one of the shoulders on the way in and was in desperate need of a hair cut. Still good times and an amazing spartan suit to hang out with

Helmet - 1st made one with a pep file, then used it as a reference to scratch build the foam one.
Chest / Shoulders - Used pep files and modified for foam.
Forearms / Handplates - Scratch built.
Butt / Thighs / Knees / Legs / Boots - Used pep files and modified for foam.
Undersuit - Scratch built.
Lightrifle - Scratch built.
Magnum - Scratch built.

Note: Still through templates and slowly putting them together in a file to upload / will post links to each pep file soon...

Tips: The more I did / researched the better I got.
Practice makes perfect (or close to it)

Have a look at Evakura's thread and others like it mainly at the tutorial videos on foam.
They are very helpful tips to help level up armour (Just wish I had seen them earlier on into my build, definitely doing it next time)

I was very happy with how the rifle turned out, but I am now planning at some stage to up the detailing yet again.

Also I believe that 'Felix's armour has the same legs as the ones I made so I'll try to get those links to the pep files up soon too for you.

Small Update:
I am still planning to upload my templates but its slow going.
I am currently working through the undersuit ones.
Before I post any though I want to make sure they are the best I can offer.
I hope when I am done some of you guys can benefit from them and make an awesome halo 4 suit (or maybe even improve the temps).

I don't know how great I am at unfolding, but I downloaded the Halo 4 armor package that contains all the armor permutations and am going to work on foam unfolds for them all and post them upon completion.
