So those who know me (and my reputation on these forums) may be confused seeing another armour build thread when my H2A ODST hasn't moved anywhere.
There's a few reasons for me to pivot to this design, but just know that I'll be returning to the 2A eventually. I've found it was too ambitious to attempt my White Whale costume as my first. Perfectionism and whatnot.
But history aside, that brings us here!
HALO WARS - FIRETEAM SUNRAY 1-1 ODST
And I'm going to fit right in there with them, as my own member. Right now I've got ReclaimerODST also doing his own custom suit, pulling specific parts and ideas from all of the different members. But I'll let him explain his own process if he wants.
Right now what feels missing from this squad is an 'enforcer' type of role, which fits perfectly with the stocky, tall, broad-shouldered build I possess.
REFERENCES / INSPIRATION
@enforce_props on Instagram produces incredible foam-built costumes, and was the main starting point for this build. I immediately saw myself wearing this, going for the sleeveless look (which'll help me out in the Aussie weather). The colours and weathering are so nice as well.
The next main reference was @hartwell_design's custom troops. They use the hard armour seen throughout the ODST's designs, but secured onto modern military soft parts. It just hits that right vibe, makes it feel real and used.
FILES / PLANNING
This led me to using @FromTheBrink 's incredible modular H3 ODST files for the bulk of the build. (torso, hip/groin plates, boot covers)
While the shoulder's are great, I'd prefer to go with the sleeker (and more accurate to source material) look from the H3 campaign ODST's. With help from Satan Farted, I've purchased these files from Two Penny Props s on Cults3D.
That's the main concept out of the way, the following posts should all include some physical progress/updates. Can't wait to keep my work ethic up on this project!

Just look at them! So full of personality and individuality!

And as I've already purchased @titlewavedesigns's H2A ODST files almost a year ago on Etsy, I've got everything else I need!
