this could easily be done with a cnc machine all you would do is find one that had bits small anuff to cut that

another idea you cand do what bevbor did with his br and make it into slices. You would have the main body as one then the second and third being all the detail that placed on top of the base slice

ok i hate to say it but it is 100% impossible to pep tried and failed :cautious: .

taking your advice Spartan 051 and trying the same thing that bevbor used. Will post pics if it work.
Would post pics of the pep attempt but didn't want to be caught with a bad model.

You're pepping it wrong, you can't go the conventional way. But its possible, and not even hard..

Well to answer both of you at the same time. How i made it was to print out the file/ pic, yes i will upload it later, cut out the each layer and glue them togather. i will be updating the first post when i have the item done.

If, and it is a big maybe, i like the finished product i will save the item.

Well its done and ready to mold. hopefully that will be done this weekend after i get paid. :D

I just have one Question does any one know how to make a micro sd card reader cuz i can't find any instructions on making or modding one. i also will be making the center light up but that is yet to come.

thats a good looking one. it almost seems you could build it with some functionality to it, like a smart card for example. it wouldn't be too hard to modify a reader to have a bigger slot, stick a card in it with a way to have the contacts up in the front like in the picture, and maybe, say keeping the transparent window in it, using a mini LED and a watch battery to add the blue glow to it.

i might just be tempted to try this.

edit:

oops didn't read all the others. looks like you guys already said something close to my idea.

and making a smart card reader from scratch is a tough build. what I would try doing is taking an external smart card reader, pulling the guts out and putting it in a custom case to accommodate for the large size of the card. From there all you'd need to do is make a small slot in the front of the thing to just hold an SD card.

or, if you want to get more technical, make larger contacts on the front like in Rob's picture, jump them to contacts in the back of the card where the SD card would plug in, then just modify the reader contacts with the same kinda jumper connections and viola.

That just gave me another project! I think it was billybob who put out the cortana papercraft. Build her, then make this to scale.

AFS - any progress? Got a more pep friendly version to share?

I was thinking of making an AI slot also, but I don't have the program required to do so. Although my Computer does have a SD card reader in it, maybe I can use one of my SD Cards until I have my hands on your Pep Friendly file.

Well a little but when i put try to make it mor pep friendly i keep having to lose some of the detail i put in. how would you guys & gals like to have a model that is broke into sections. i could have that done up in about a day or two, depending on the homework statis

as for my regular model after i resined it, it kinda started to come apart so i had to restart and progress is slow. if i didn't have some many hard courses this semester i would have it done by now but i do and i don't(have the 2.0 model done).

As a side note what do you guys think about a 2gb version. i got the prototype card reader working. had to do some major modding but its done.

I'll take a pep version in sections. You've seen my idea. I think a 2 gig version would be really sweet. I'll be watching this.
