Hi guys, while I was bored today, I found an easy way to make a weapon prop ! It may not be super accurate but everyone will recognize the weapon!
So basically, remember those Boomco Halo dart guns that have paint jobs that look nothing like in the game ? Well there's an easy fix: Paint one, let it dry and you have your own almost 100% accurate (few small details are missing) gun !
Tell me what you guys think, and thanks for reading :)

Hey Spartan x! I've seen this done to a number of boomco magnums. They are a little on the small side, but do make great looking props for very minimal effort!

Great ! Post a picture if you do make one :) Just an advice: don'tn get the carabin: I heard it was way too small !

Maybe spray paint ?

Hey Spartan X. Just a heads up, double posting shortly after a post to add more info is generally frowned upon. What you can do is use the edit function on the bottom right of your previous post to make any corrections to it.

That being said, spray paint is going to be your best bet for laying on a base coat. It is then up to you if you want to use masking tape and continue to spray paint the small details, or to hand paint them with a fine brush.

Here's one I painted a while back. For the dark gray I used regular primer (too lazy to buy a new can of regular paint, plus I liked the color). Left the original lighter gray, and painted the grip with flat black.

Just a note, I painted my dart tips with chrome and they don't hold paint well. I ended up getting chrome all over my desk because it essentially just wipes off. Woops!

Looks epic! Nice Work

Great way to do a prop for us beginners. How off in terms of scale is it using those dart guns?

They are definitely on the small side, the one I saw in person was a good inch and a half shorter than my reach magnum. They do look good, though, and would look reasonably sized on an average person. I stand about 6'10" in suit, so I don't really fall into that "normal" range haha

This. I should be about 6'9" in my suit when completed. Its already a bit small in my hand, and I imagine with gloves with finger armor, its gonna be hard to comfortably hold. For $10 though, you might as well get 1 or 2 lol. And besides, they actually shoot really well. Better than most of my Nerf guns before I sold them.
