Ok, back on my original topic.
I love spam as much as the next person. :sneaky: , but my costume and it's planning comes before all that.
So I've decieded on making a fibre glass alien.

Yea, so are you going to get those power jumpers for the legs or have you found an alternative?

those power jumpers are actually quite good for this project.
i just need to find a cheap pair
(thank you ebay *worships*)
the stilts are curves kinda like a half moon which would work for the way the elite's legs are.

So, i'll be using power jumpers.
I doubt I'll be bouncy around though.

once you get them, you should also get a helmet. Safety first because it may be hard to get started.

I don't know what you decided regarding the control wire hands but to support that kind of stress on the suit's forearms or anywhere else, you could buy a couple of cheap small fishing rods, chop them up and BAM instant carbon fiber supports.

Actually if you use those as spines and strips of fiberglassed carstock as ribs in the frame then you could significantly reduce the weight of the structure, and it should breath better.

even though you have seen videos of just people jumping with them, it would be funny if you did those kind of jumps but wearing your elite costume. that would be funny to see, and entertaining

Blargh, with all that resistant fibre glass on, I'd probably manage a little hop.
I'd need bendy material, yet strong. Which is hard to find.

I would love to do that though. haha. A female elite hopping everywhere. it'd be awesome.

it could be done with fiber glass but it would take a lot of work and small individual pieces. and good point about hight.
