First Build Advice. Jorge Armor Halo Reach

Hi everyone! First time build and I decided to make Jorge from Halo Reach. So far I have the entire arms/shoulders, thighs, knees and helmet fully printed and bonded together with the helmet being the only piece I've sanded, puttied, primed, sanded some more and painted. Whatever advice people have I would very much appreciate on how to make this the best build possible. Particular info/guidance on what I'm looking for is what padding to use for the interior of the helmet and how to apply it, I'm thinking velcro applied to points with some adhesive and a motorcycle helmet padding liner with velcro bonded onto it as well so that I will stick or EVA foam. Im also curious on how to effectively cut, shape and smooth EVA foam as I'm going to be using that to pad the inside of the suit along with create parts of the undersuit. Also what are some other materials I might be able to use for the undersuit, I've seen some people 3d print parts of it and was thinking about going down that route for certain spots. Also any advice on how to set up a good rigging system made and attached so the suit stays put on my body when I wear it would be amazing, info like what are some good straps and buckles that I can purchase and what adhesive should I use to best bond them to the suit and will I need a sowing machine to sow some of the straps together in places. Again, really any info is appreciated. Have a great day!

If the rest of your suit is going to be like your helmet, this is going to be a build to watch!

So as far as padding goes, I’ve gone with the eggshell foam that’s used for soundproofing. It’s surprisingly comfortable and relatively easy to get a hold of.

Strapping can differ based on the individual, but we have had a strapping tutorial be made recently that I highly recommend looking at in the tutorial section!

Thank you for the praise and info, I really appreciate it! The plan is to make every piece as high quality as the last.
